Dr. Tahira Batool has a special interest in subfertility and has demonstrated great commitment towards developing her skills this area. She graduated from Fatima Jinnah Medical College Lahore and went onto complete her MCPS in 1983. Dr. Batool later on completed MRCOG from The Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynecologists, United Kingdom in 1992. She also completed FRCOG in 2004 from the United Kingdom.
At present, she is one of the leading consultants at Australian Concept Infertility Medical Centre. She is also Head of Department Gynae at KRL General Hospital Islamabad. Previously Dr. Tahira was Assistant Professor Gynae/Obs at Fatima Jinnah Medical College Lahore for about 8 years where she took responsibility for teaching medical students, PG students, conducting clinical sessions and supervision of gynae unit.
She was a Senior Registrar in Obs/Gynae at Lady Wellington Hospital Lahore. Dr. Tahira worked for many years as Senior Registrar in different hospitals at UK and did training in Colposcopy, Operative Laparoscopy and infertility. She has written various research papers in different journals and presented papers at national and international conferences.
Her special interests are in Gynecological endoscopic procedures (Laparoscopy, Hysteroscopy) and Urogynecological procedures for incontinent females.
