Step 1: Free Consultation
After receiving your booking inquiry for consultation, we will appoint you to our most experienced and top-rated fertility doctor in Karachi. Your first consultation is free. They will carefully assess your health and run tests (blood tests, semen analysis, ultrasound, etc.) to identify the cause of your infertility. Based on this, we plan an appropriate treatment tailored to your health and goals.
Step 2: Ovarian Stimulation
To maximize your chances of conception through IVF, our doctors will prescribe hormone medication in an injectable form. The injection contains Follicle-stimulating Hormone (FSH) and Leutinizing Hormone (LH), which promote the growth of multiple eggs at once. Once the follicles have reached a specific size, a trigger injection is administered to speed up their maturation and release.
Step 3: Egg Retrieval
Hormone shots promote ovulation in women, which is closely monitored through ultrasound tests. Around two weeks after hormone injections, your ovaries will start producing mature eggs, which are collected through a minimally invasive surgical procedure.
Step 4: Sperm Retrieval
Sperm is either collected at home or in our embryology lab in Karachi. The sample is thoroughly evaluated under a microscope to identify the sperm count, semen volume, motility, morphology, and other vitals. If the semen doesn’t contain adequate sperm count, we can schedule surgical sperm extraction. It’s a minor surgical procedure that involves the collection of the sperm directly from your testicles.
Step 5: Fertilization
We combine the woman’s eggs and her partner’s sperm in a petri dish in our technologically advanced embryology lab. These are fertilized normally or through an assisted technology called Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI).
Step 6: Embryo Culture
The fertilized eggs take 3-5 days to turn into embryos, which can be implanted into the woman’s uterus. Embryo transfer is a quick, painless procedure that’s performed in an outpatient setting.
Step 7: Embryo Transfer
Once the embryo has developed, our doctors will run tests to select the healthiest and most viable embryo for implantation. We transfer one or multiple embryos into the woman’s womb
Step 8: Follow-up
You can take a pregnancy test at home or visit our clinic 10-14 days after embryo transfer to check if you are pregnant. If the results are positive, we’ll schedule your follow-up visits to monitor your early stages of pregnancy.
