Professor Dr. Alia Bashir received her MBBS degree from Fatima Jinnah Medical College in Lahore in 1989, and in 1992, she obtained a diploma in gynecology and obstetrics from Post-Graduate Medical Institute Lahore. She completed post-graduate studies at The College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan in 2003, where she passed the MCPS and FCPS exams. In 2013, Dr Alia earned a Certificate in Medical Teaching from UHS Lahore and the University of Liverpool. In 2019, she also enrolled in a course in endoscopy surgery at the German Gynecological Endoscopy School in Kiel. In addition to more than 20 publications in national and international magazines, she is the author of four books.
She also held positions at King Edward Medical University/Lady Atchison Hospital Lahore, Post Graduate Medical Institute/Ameer-ud-Din Medical College, and Sahiwal Medical College Sahiwal as a professor of obstetrics and gynecology. She currently holds positions as an infertility specialist at Australian Concept Infertility Medical Center Lahore, a consultant gynecologist at Doctors Hospital Lahore, and a professor of obstetrics and gynecology at Services Institute of Medical Sciences (SIMS)/Services Hospital Lahore.
